Bone Health Mushroom Soup

Mushrooms are functional food that are needed to improve our health. Check on my health blog on mushrooms and how to increase the Vitamin D. Barley is high in iron and Mushrooms are high in Vitamin D. Both are good combinations for a healthy bone. Sweet Potatoes increase the Nitrogen level in the blood. This broth is good to have after a strengthening exercise.

Ingredients

  1. 100 g of Cooked Barley
  2. 50g  Grey Oyster Mushroom
  3. 50g    Enoki Mushroom
  4. 50g    Abalone Mushroom
  5. 100g Sweet potato leaves 
  6. ¼ cup Red Capsicum
  7.  1 tbsp of fermented soy ( Miso paste)
  8.  2 cups of water/ vegetable broth

Method

  1. Add everything in a pot and cook it for 5-7 minutes. 
  2. Serve warm.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of grounded flaxseeds  for additional fibre and omega 3.
