Glutinous rice is common staple food in Asian. We mostly use in main dish, dessert and snacks. Since, it is a high Glycemic Index Food around 98, it is not advisable to have it on a daily basis especially anyone who is diabetic. Tips :Soaking time is not included in the prep time.

Ingredients
2 cup glutinous rice soaked overnight or at least 5 hours
100 g ( approximately 5 pieces) dried shiitake mushroom soaked overnight or 1 hour in 1 cup of hot water
200 g mini king oyster mushroom
1 large onion
1 tbsp of sesame oil( optional)
2 tbsp of arrowroot/corn flour + 4 tbsp of soaked mushroom water
For marination paste
2 tbsp of garlic paste
1 tbsp Liquid amino
2 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp of onion powder
1 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp miso paste
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tsp five spices (optional)
1/3 cup of mushroom water
(You can add 2 tbsp of dark soy sauce and 3 tbsp of soy sauce, instead of miso paste,liquid amino and molasses, taste the salt accordingly since I dont use much salt in my cooking )
If you do NOT have time, skip the marinating process, add everything in the wok and cook it.
